I'm sorry to see you've been attacked by the utterly illegitimate Southern Poverty Law Center. How sad that an organization like theirs continues to get attention from the media.

We at the ERLC do hope that your event this weekend in Texas goes well combating the Human Rights Campaign. While you have our best wishes for the success of your event, I should note that standard ERLC practice is to let the state-affiliate ERLC take the lead in state matters unless we're expressly asked to help intervene by the state convention.

The Momentum is with biblical sexual values, not with sexual radicalism

This article by John Nolte in Daily Wire brings to the forefront many of the issues that we struggle with, as parents and citizens fighting back against confusion imposed on our young people:

Mr. Nolte is responding to a sentiment expressed quite often these days, to the effect of: "We have lost the culture wars. It is time to be super-duper, extra nice with cherries on top, and not fight about things that make people really mad, like the fact that the Bible bans sodomy and homosexual activity seems to have a lot of negative effects on people."

This defeatist sentiment isn't emerging naturally, first of all. It has been carefully cultivated by strategists within the Gay Lobby. Consider that the Human Rights Campaign and the Southern Poverty Law Center both rake in enormous amounts of cash, often from less than scrupulous fundraising tactics. Different figures appear in different articles about these groups, but it is clear that they collect tens of millions of dollars in surplus each year, and their principal holdings seem to be growing, into the hundreds of millions of dollars.

How the HRC and Gay Lobby Have Been Empowered by White House Faith-Based Partnerships

Most people have heard the terminology of The White House Faith Based Neighborhood Partnerships (FBP) at least in the recent change in language when referring to churches and ministries who participate in social programs. 

These organizations have almost universally come to be known as faith-based groups. A lesser known fact is that religious and Christian groups are participating in government funding program grants to provide social services to their community.

The concept is nothing new. Today’s programs actually date back to the George H Bush Charitable Choice program and the Clinton era welfare reforms. In early 2001 Bush W actually instituted the current White House program by executive order allowing access to public funds for churches and ministries/ religious groups who had a proven track record of helping their communities. However very little funding was budgeted toward it. 

As the Obama administration took office LGBTQ groups like the Human Rights Campaign called for an end to the FBP as funding discriminatory groups. Instead the focus changed and HRC and other influential group were invited to serve on the Presidents Inaugural Advisory Board to reform the program as soon vast amounts of tax money were about  to be infused into it.

Who gets bullied?

According to stopbullying.gov, a website managed by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, students are most likely bullied because of their looks. The research cited in the AISD “Welcoming Schools” lesson plans corroborated the government statistics: the majority of bullied students are targeted for their “looks” (55 percent), “body shape” (37 percent), or race (16 percent). By comparison other students were targeted for being LGBT (14 percent); for family income (13 percent); for religion (12 percent); and disability (8 percent).
The TEXAN questioned AISD about the curriculum’s content and the need for an additional anti-bullying program that assists only LGBT students. In response, the district stated, “Austin ISD’s philosophy is to educate the whole child. That includes helping students understand and express their emotions in constructive ways. Through a variety of innovative programs such as social and emotional learning, anti-bullying programs and a restorative justice approach to discipline, students are taught to be inclusive of people different from them and to treat them with respect.”
The TEXAN obtained lesson plans used for introducing “Welcoming Schools” to teachers and, ultimately, their students. Module 1, “What is a Family?” begins with the deconstruction of the traditional family as the societal norm. It cites statistics on how many children are raised outside of the two-parent (Mom and Dad) home and features a film narrated by 6-12-year-old children talking about their same-sex parents or their parents’ gay friends.
In module 4, “What is Gender? Examining the Continuum of Gender Identification, Gender Expression, and Stereotypes,” teachers are asked to answer questions about their preconceived ideas about gender (i.e. gender bias). The lesson states, “By embracing the richness of the gender spectrum, teachers and other adults can help broaden children’s understandings of gender in order to help every child feel seen and recognized.”
By Module 5 children are told they can choose their gender identity even if that identity conflicts with biological reality. Questioning the child’s choice of gender is not an option for teachers or students.
The possibility that the lessons might conflict with the consciences and faith convictions of AISD teachers, students and families is never acknowledged in the modules.
Asmussen said “Welcoming Schools” curriculum highlights a bigger problem of progressive educational overreach. Promoted as a means of helping students achieve academic success through character development, an initiative known as social and emotional learning (SEL) is being introduced nationwide.
The Collaborative for Academic, Emotional, and Social Learning (CASEL) is one purveyor of the ideologically driven program and in 2011 tapped Austin ISD to pilot the program. Today the SEL initiative is on all 129 campuses and is being introduced in El Paso, Houston and Dallas school districts.

Protecting Sexual Minority Youth Or Promoting LGBT ?

Today's news is littered with stories of LGBT youth. Their struggles and perceived need of protection are front page daily. The cause is everywhere and the issues are multidimensional. No stone is left unturned to seek out. find and meet the need of LGBT youth. It only makes sense that the focus of those wanting to ensure the safety and rights of sexual minority youth would focus in schools and the arena of education. Right?  But are we getting the real story and have the outcomes intended for children in public education been clearly stated. Actually the goals and outcomes have been stated but are not part of the primary narrative for public consumption.

Since 2009 the Department of Education has become a hotbed of LGBT activism and this trickles down to the local school campus. Former President Obama, according to the Gay and Lesbian Victory Institute appointed almost 30 activist https://www.victoryinstitute.org/PAI within the U S Department of Education. This was in addition to hundreds more in every federal agency. The most notable or perhaps notorious of these appointees was Kevin Jennings the homosexual founder of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. GLSENs has helped form and promote gay clubs on Jr High and High school campuses across the country. These clubs rally and train LGBT identifying youth to be activist and to engage "straight youth" as allies in on campus clubs called the Gay Straight Alliance. These groups are hosted by sympathetic teachers and advocate for straight kids sympathies and support of LGBT rights. Let us get this straight, a nationally known homosexual activist in his mid -50s with funding from foundations and corporations has had a federal job in the Department of Education to help spread his organizations ideology and narrative to train activist youth and engender sympathies among straight students in your local school. It is likely your child or grandchild has been influenced by this effort. Activist boast that "you will be less likely to resist change if you know and like someone who is gay, lesbian, bisexual, or trans."

So what is the change they are talking about? To put it plainly the goal is to redefine sexual norms for the next generation. The method is simple. You create an atmosphere where it is cool in school to be LGBT. Then you engender sympathies and shame anyone who does not see it your way. Then you add the concept of Q. You may have noticed the list of sexual minorities in the sexual alphabet soup is growing. Q was added by the more radical elements to own the slur of the word Queer and thus empower the in your face approach of the radicals. But in 2012 a new meaning for Q was added and at times you will see LGBTQQ so both meanings are represented. It is hard to follow but it is almost certain your children know what all the letters stand for. What is the second Q? It stands for Questioning and who added it? Planned Parenthood. the unseen big sister activist group working in education. Their mission and definition of Q is to promote "Questioning". The assertion is that it is "normal" to question your sexuality, orientation and gender "at any age" and questioning should lead to "exploration " of your sexuality, orientation and gender. " You will know when you are ready". This is their only qualification for age of consent to embark on your personal sexual journey. Make no mistake. The goal in education is to make allies of your straight kids and encourage as many students as possible to explore the sexual boundaries and redefine them for themselves. This is the new normal and the standard or sexual ethics determined for public education. The hope is to achieve the goal Human Rights Campaign boasted of in 2014 "to create a thriving LGBTQ population ". Getting the facts and going beyond the public narrative to the intended outcomes is a must for parents and grand parents lest we fail to see where LGBTQ activism in education intends to take our children and what it means for their sexual futures.

TX Senate Committee votes 8-1 for SB 6--Controversial LGBT Curriculum in Grade Schools Comes to Light!!!

There is significant attention paid currently to SB 6, a bill proposed in the Texas State Senate to limit school bathrooms to use by individuals according to the biological sex indicated on their birth certificates. Caryl Ayala, who is part of Mass Resistance Texas, provided this testimony in favor of SB6, along with Sharon Armke:



These two witnesses drew attention to the problem that the HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN, an LGBT activist organization, is flooding Texas school districts with money, pushing highly sexualized curriculum on young children. It seems as though the curriculum is designed to create more LGBT students rather than to prevent bullying (its expressed purpose).

Caryl and Sharon will be among those present at a citizens' action meeting on April 1, 2017, in Austin Texas, to plan action to block this inappropriate and politically motivated curriculum from our schools. Citizens in Texas -- be they Christian, Jewish, or of any faith or no faith -- are reaching their breaking point with this hyper-sexualization of our youth. LGBT militants are trying to push dysfunctional sexualities on our young people in order to render them dependent on their political "support" networks, and in order to alienate them from their parents who have their best interests at heart.

Often these changes are pushed under cover of darkness, by putting forward one supposedly transgender child (often too young to have even developed any such identity) in order to force whole districts to comply in order to avoid lawsuits.

In the case of curriculum, activists have classified the age-inappropriate LGBT lessons as "anti-bullying" or "social and relational conduct" classes rather than sex education, thereby avoiding some districts' requirements that parents be notified and given a chance to remove their kids from the program.

The only way to turn the tide on this is to gather force as concerned citizens and mobilize. Action plans will be available at the April 1 meeting described below, and experts will be present to provide sound evidence and counter-arguments against the usual tricks pulled by pro-LGBT activists when they try to force these harmful programs on youth. For instance, there is almost no evidence that people are born gay, there is little evidence that Texas will suffer disastrous business consequences for protecting children from unwelcome sexualization, suicide rates among LGBTs have been grossly exaggerated and misleadingly attributed in the press, and coming out of the closet very young as "gay" or "trans" seems according to most evidence to lead to greater instability and unhappiness later in life. The best adjusted people who choose to identify as LGBT tend to be those who avoid the LGBT identity and community until they are past high school and stable enough to navigate serious issues in those settings.

MassResistance TX presents “Stand for the Sanctity and Health of the Family:  Action and Education Meeting” on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Oak Meadow Baptist Church, 6905 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, TX 78744, from 2:00 – 5:30 p.m.   Admission is free. 
A panel of experts and activists will arm citizens with tools to fight back against several topics including:  school curriculum that is not appropriate for young children; transgender policies in schools including transgender bathroom access; and efforts to make Texans believe the gay marriage issue is lost for good.
Speaking at the event will be MassResistance TX chapter founder, Dr. Robert Lopez.   Dr. Lopez is a professor of humanities at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.   He holds a Ph. D. in English and an M.A.  in Classics from State University of New York at Buffalo,  and a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University.  He views his years in secular liberal education as a training ground which helped him to understand the importance of fighting for Christian values in popular culture.  Also speaking will be David Pickup, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  Pickup is a board member of the National Association for Research and Treatment of Homosexuality.  He is the lead plaintiff in Pickup vs. Brown, the lawsuit brought against California for its new law that has banned Reparative Therapy for minors.
MassResistance, a pro-family organization working on the front lines to confront attacks on the family and Judeo-Christian values, was founded 22 years ago in Massachusetts.   It is supported by thousands of activists from all fifty states, Puerto Rico, and in over a dozen foreign countries.  Brian Camenker of Newton, Massachusetts serves as its current president and will also speak at the April 1st event.
